Area Community Credit Union
Serving the Grand Forks Community since 1958

Area Community Credit Union (ACCU) has been in Grand Forks, North Dakota since 1958. Starting as a Federally Charted Credit Union, it was converted to State Charted Credit Union in December 1964.

Initially, the Credit Union was solely for Grand Forks Public School employees. Over the years, it has steadily grown along with the community.

July 1, 1994 was opening day in the present building at 2800 South Washington Street. The Grand Forks Herald Credit Union merged with ACCU on April 1, 1997. At that time, it became a Community Chartered Credit Union, welcoming anyone living or working within a fifty mile radius of Grand Forks. Today, it has approximately $20 million in assets and serves over 2,500 customers.
